To join this level, these advanced swimmers must be able to: front crawl and back crawl for 100 metres each, breaststroke for 50 metres, scissor kick and eggbeater kick for 15 metres each, and underwater swim 10 metres to pick up an object. Swimmers continue stroke development with 50 m swims of front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. They then build upon those strokes to develop their Lifesaving Sport skills including a 25 m obstacle swim and 15 m object carry. They learn a few first-aid treatments, focusing on assessment of conscious victims, contacting EMS and treatment for bleeding. Fitness improves in 350 m workouts and 100 m timed swims.
